I don’t know about you, but most of the time when I read about money, I feel like I’m either being told off or sold to. Which is… weird.
There are the listicles full of shoulds: you should have three months of savings, you should be investing, you should stop buying takeaway coffees (speak for yourself). Then there are those smug how-I-saved-£10k-in-10-minutes stories that feel about as relatable as a private jet (which, yeah, sure, we wish was relatable, but it isn’t. Unfortunately).
So, this is something different.
Welcome to The Statement* by Plum; a journal of small reflections, personal discoveries, money confessions and the kind of lessons I wish we talked about more.
Because while interest rates, inflation and investment portfolios matter… so do your habits, your hang-ups and that thing you bought last week but still feel a bit weird about (look, if you were reminiscing about last year’s Eras Tour era and bought the pink sparkly cowboy boots, that’s not guilt. That’s self care)
And for the record, yes, I work at Plum. But this isn’t about Plum. And it’s definitely not about me.
It’s about you. Your relationship with money. The questions you’ve had but never asked. The habits you’re proud of. The ones you’re still figuring out. The stories you don’t think you can tell other people, but probably should.
So if you’ve ever felt behind, confused or just plain bored by the usual money chat, you’re in the right place
Let’s start small, talk honestly and rewrite the story, just a little.
